Importing the sample data to joomla 1.5 website
Earlier today when trying to install Joomla 1.5 on an Easyphp Server I got an error saying? “Error: the XML response that was returned from the server is invalid”. So I? installed a site without the sample data. But How would one go about installing Sample data.
Open the directory Installation >sql > mysql find the sample file data sample_data.sql. If you had already deleted the instalation file you can either undo the delete, or otherwise restore the folder from the original installation files.
Open the file data sample_data.sql in your editor and edit the database table prefix. Replace the “#” character with “jos” if that was your table prefix.
Select the Import tab in the PHPMyAdmin interface and browse to the renamed installation directory and select the sample_data.sql file
Once the file is selected from the browser click Go.?? And thats it !!!
