Swazi MTN Roaming in South Africa (Updated)

I previosly wrote on how one can go about activating Roaming roaming on Swazi MTN while in SA using MTN pay as you go prepaid line. Over the past months that i’ve been roaming using my Swaziland Sim card,? I have observed the following:
- To Load airtime while in SA, one can purchase airtime vouchers (in SA i tried MTN prepaid vouchers for SA), load it using *200*pinnumber# and viola!!!! – However there is a catch. You apparently don’t get all the airtime due to you for one reason or the other. I loaded R10 and it? credited my account with R8.81
- Receiving SMS is free. I tried to send SMSs and it ddnt go through.
- You are charged for incoming and outgoing calls. I cannot confirm the rates but from the look of things the rates are now slightly cheaper than what they used to.
- Once activated the first time, the phone automatically roams on its on when you cross the border without activating again and vice vesa.
- One can also Roam in Vodacom in SA but it will only allow you to receive calls and will bar outgoing calls.
- When your airtime is finished, you cannot receive calls but can, of coz receive sms messages.
