Big Brother All Stars: Is Munya set for the Big Prize ?
Zimbabwe?s Munyaradzi Chidzonga has officially survived 9 nominations and could very well be the winner of Big Brother 5.
His 9 votes against Uti’s 6 last week makes him odds on favourite to win this weekend.
Of course it all remains to be seen as viewers vote for their number one Housemate for the moola.
All US$200,000 of it.
The prize money had been reduced to US$180000 11 weeks ago when Biggie took away twenty thousand dollars for damage done during the riot.
Big Brother has now restored it to the full amount on Sunday, saying that the contestants had shown their commitment to global action in support of the Millennium Development Goals.
Biggie said: “Your ongoing dedication to the fight against Malaria across the continent has been observed; and your discussions in the house around gender, ethnicity, community and poverty have provoked involvement and comment from many viewers…”
Nigerian contestant Uti Nwachukwu congratulated Munya and toasted to him when the eviction show was over and the top 5 remained. He also pointed out that South Africa?s Lerato was the luckiest contestant on the show, she didn?t protest.
Undoubtedly she is also the least popular as well.
Munya?s name was the first to be called by IK when the time came to name and shame the Housemates to exit the House. Naturally he was very tense until IK assured him that he was safe.
He then moved onto Kaone and put him out of his misery fairly swiftly. Uti was then declared safe and Tatiana made her way to centre stage as the second Housemate to be evicted.
Ironically enough, Tatiana and Uti were the first two to be evicted in the show?s first dummy eviction which turned out to be fake.
Regarding votes, Tatiana and Kaone got no votes at all whilst Munya got nine votes over Uti?s six so going into the final so we all know who the man to beat is.
As usual the evicted Housemates got to have a little bit of power over what happens in the next week of the show in the form of throwing daggers.
Tatiana threw her Dagger at Sheila, with the following instructions: “One Housemate must change clothes three times a day, and must entertain the other Housemates by dancing seductively and stripping every evening after dinner for ten minutes.”
Uti is sure to enjoy that week-long show. As for Sheila, although she has expressed her dislike for the Molotov, she did say she was going to have some fun with it seeing as there was no other way she could tackle it.
Kaone threw his Dagger at the other female contestant Lerato, with the following instructions: “One Housemate must be a jukebox. Every day, all remaining Housemates may request the jukebox to sing (and dance) any one of their favourite songs after dinner.”
Lerato was already serenading Biggie at her diary session so she looks set to enjoy this Molotov.
Both Daggers took effect from Monday morning.
Before signing off I must say Big up yourself to Tatiana; she managed to wrangle Kaone?s secret out of him just hours before eviction and managed to bag his US$1000 bringing her total to US$3000 after cracking Lerato?s secret some weeks ago.
Meryl, Jen, Hannington, Yacob, Paloma and Sammi managed to leave with their US$1000 still intact. It was just Kaone?s luck that the Tart managed to break into his kitty hours from freedom.
The Angolan guessed that Kaone had been a jail bird once. He denied it and stuck to his guns even as the lie detector contradicted him in the glasshouse.
Lerato?s secret was that she has piercings in hidden places.
Uti, Sheila and Mwisho still have their cash intact whilst Munya revealed his secret to Tatiana months ago in some demonstration of trust or the other. I fail to see the reason therefore Munya but hey, it was your money to give away after all.
