Idols SA: top 15
Idols South Africa: Idols Season 7’s notorious “Hell Week” at Sun City started out with 98 dreams, but over the course of four grueling days the judges made one cut after the other and in tonight’s episode there were only 33 potential Idols left, waiting to hear if they will have the chance to sing for South Africa’s votes.
24-Year-old Nolly Meje from Cape Town was the very first contestant to audition in this season of Idols, and tonight she would also be first to hear if her dreams would come true. A sober-looking Randall Abrahams told Nolly that the judges’s decision was not an easy one, but that she was indeed the first contestant this year to make it through to the Top 15! “It’s a step closer to what I want – and that is the title,” said a determined Nolly.
But for the other contestants the tension in the holding room had become almost unbearable. Prime Zulu from Kwa-Mashu in KZN abruptly burst into tears. “No-one taught me how to sing,” he sobbed. “Whatever experience I have is because of me, because I tried to get somewhere.” Unfortunately, for the second year in a row the 23-year-old had to return home bitterly disappointed. “You can’t deny that your Sun City auditions haven’t been the best,” a sympathetic Unathi tried to break the news gently.
In total, 14 contestants received happy news from the judges, until only Josslynn Hlenti (20) from Durban and Jozi’s Kerry Sanssoucie (22) were left, with only one more spot available in the Top 15 group! The judges called both of them up to the Judgement Room. “There’s only place for one of you, Gareth said ominously. “We’re finding it really difficult to choose between the two of you, because you’ve actually both been really good. So here’s what we’re going to do…”In yet another first for Idols, the judges are leaving it up to the Idols viewers to decide who gets to sing in the Top 15 next week – Josslynn or Kerry!

I strongly feel that josslyn and kerry should be on the top 15 and Chloe should have gone home. Chloe is no better than the two on the hot seat.
