Swazi MTN launch BlackBerry service

December 10, 2009 · Posted in Technology · 9 Comments

Swazi MTN has joined the BlackBerry Nation in conjunction with Research In Motion (RIM) , their South African Supplier. MTN will be offering two different BlackBerry services; BlackBerry? Enterprise Server targeted specifically at the enterprise market, available from MTN?s Corporate Sales Division for organisations with their own email server; and for smaller businesses and individuals, the BlackBerry? Internet Service which would be available from all MTN shops.

Customers can use the BlackBerry? solution anywhere in Swaziland as well as over 50 countries worldwide with which MTN has data roaming agreements. The majority of European and frequently visited business destinations are included to help ensure business customers can stay in touch even whilst abroad. Pay-As-You-Go customers can get the BlackBerry Curve 8320 for E4 799 and the BlackBerry Bold 9000 for E6 499.
I have been planning on acquiring either a Blackberry or an i Phone and judging from what I can see so far, I’m slightly being aligned to the Blackberry, mainly of because of Swazi MTN’s non-support of iPhone applications.
